Why BAN? It’s not the Vietnamese bánh; with a touch of irony, it’s the good old Czech steamed dumpling. However, the family recipe and texture are finer and fluffier. They fill them like tacos – try the variation with pulled meat or the sweet version with plum jam. They also craft wraps and dumplings from the dough to accompany sauces. Everything is topped off with a friendly atmosphere.

This is far more than just another burger spot. The Ban with beef was outstanding—perfectly tender meat, just as it should be. We were truly impressed by the owner’s charm and passion.

Zastávka u Brna is an ideal stop for refreshments during trips around the region, which has not yet been appreciated by tourists. Instead of Baroque furniture, the Oslavany chateau has an exposition of mining and energy industry in its repertoire. The chateau grounds also offer a great swim.
